You can also permanently erase specific files that you choose. Their customer support response time and knowledge is remarkable. If you are serious about your privacy and require the most effective protection and permanent file deletion capabilities available, Evidence Eliminator is for you.
Features:
Evidence Eliminator has every feature you could possibly want in privacy software. Aside from the complete list of pre-defined cleaning features, you are also able to clean specific files, folders, and custom file types as well as create custom folder scans. Evidence Eliminator also comes with the largest number of plug-ins of the software that we reviewed. These plug-ins clean history from various 3rd party software that may be installed on your computer such as chat programs, P2P programs and media players. The following is an abbreviated list of additional features: Windows file right-click integration, stealth mode, safety check, registry cleaning and repair, custom logging, command line options for task scheduling, the ability to check for program updates and new plug-ins, etc. It has a range of modes that will determine cleaning level, from a quick mode, a fast process that deletes those items not requiring a restart, to a restart mode which will automatically restart your computer for you to ensure a thorough cleaning. There is also a test mode to facilitate easy diagnosis and logging of any drive irregularities.
Usability:
Evidence Eliminator provides an easy to use, organized tabbed interface. No special configurations are neccessary. For non-computer-savvy users, the most common cleaning options are selected by default. There are advanced options for more technical users. Once all desired options are selected, you simply click a button to perform the cleaning process. You are shown progress as cleaning is performed and can stop progress if you wish.
Effectiveness:
Evidence Eliminator does a tremendous job cleaning all Windows, web browser, and 3rd party program usage tracks. File cleaning and deletion processes exceed US Government Military standards. You are able to specify various settings which affect the level of file destruction such as overwrite repetitions and write mode. Evidence Eliminator is also the only product which claims to remove magnetic remenance by under writing directory structures to make data undetectable by electron microscopes.
