Privacy Defender Review:
Summary:
Privacy Defender lacks most of the features found in our higher raked products.
However, it is the least expensive.
Features:
Privacy Defender has a very small subset of cleaning options. Basically you can clear Internet Explorer cache, history, address bar locations, index.dat and Windows recent files, recycle bin, and temp folder. There is no permanent delete feature, a feature which exists in all other products that we've reviewed. There are no additional plugins and no scheduling options.
Usability:
Being that there aren't many features, finding your way around this program is not difficult, however, there is no status during cleaning.
Effectiveness:
Privacy Defender was unable to clean autocomplete fields during our test with Internet Explorer 7.

Privacy Defender has a one page help file describing it's options. |
