Summary:
Winclear did not impress us. Although it has a decent list of pre-defined Windows cleaning options, dont expect this program to clear 3rd party application settings and browsers other than Internet Explorer.
Features:
Winclear
has a fairly decent list of Windows cleaning options and Internet Explorer cleaning options. However, it doesn't support multiple browsers, it has no plug-ins (aside from Yahoo chat), and doesn't allow you to permanently erase specific files. It also has no scheduling options and none of the other bells and whistles you'll find in our higher raked privacy software products.
Usability:
Being that there aren't many features, finding your way around this program is not difficult.
Effectiveness:
Winclear provides 4 levels of file destuction. We had no problems with Winclear's cleaning effectiveness.
Support: Winclear uses an online help file, which we feel is lacking. However, their email support seems pretty responsive.
